John taught music at the Shenyang Conservatory and Janina taught English and French at the Northeast Technical University. Their children were enrolled in Chinese public schools. Hear first-hand accounts of and view slides of their family experiences in Shenyang. You&rsquo;ll also view Chinese musical instruments and hear examples of Han and Uyghur music. John is Professor of Music at Manchester College. He earned a PhD degree in musicology from the University of Michigan and teaches music history and world musics, plus introduction to the fine arts. Janina is Professor of French at Manchester College.
